Acupuncture

Acupuncture is one of the oldest holistic methods in the world. Researchers have scientific evidence gathered through carbon dating that reveals that this ancient form of healing was used 5,000 years ago in China.

Acupuncture is the practice of using small. finely crafted needles to stimulate certain points on the body. Acupuncturists developed 14 different meridians in the body. Meridians are invisible pathways or channels in the body. Over time, your life force or "Qi" (pronounced chee), can get trapped and the energy in the body doesn't flow like it used it. Anything that blocks the free flow of energy in your meridians will cause illness. Acupuncture frees your "Qi" and eliminates pain, discomfort, swelling and other symptoms by freeing the energy that is trapped. Once the energy is released, healing will occur.

Acupuncture had been widely studied and many medical experts now admit and agree that acupuncture is an effective form of healing. Studies in Germany have revealed that after five weeks of treatment, acupuncture patients treated for back pain reported more pain relief with better function an mobility than patients who relied of physical therapy, exercise and medication.
